Join Design East
The new contemporary design network for the East of England
The aim of Design East is to increase and expand the opportunities for contemporary designers living and working in the East of England and to highlight the talents of design graduates in the region. Design East is supported by East Herts Council.
The network will be launched at the Design East Contemporary Design Fair 3rd-5th April.
From the 3rd April 2009 you will be able to register as a network member.

We are seeking applications from designer-makers of contemporary, cutting-edge and innovative-
•Textiles
•Ceramics
•Furniture
•Glass
•Jewellery
•Lighting
•Sculpture
•Fashion accessories
•Interior products
You must live, work or have graduated in any of the following counties-
•Hertfordshire
•Essex
•Bedfordshire
•Norfolk
•Suffolk
•Cambridgeshire
Membership Benefits
•Exhibition Opportunities-
Eligibility to apply to exhibit at the Design East contemporary design fair and other Design East showcasing opportunities.
•Networking events-
Share information, experiences and ideas with fellow designers and makers, meet with industry professionals and link up with local businesses.
•E-newsletter-
You will receive a quarterly newsletter by email updating you on all Design East news, events and opportunities.
•Website-
You will have your own designer-maker profile page on the Design East website, featuring an image of your work, a short biography, your contact details and a link to your own website.
•Online Forum-
Chat to fellow designers online, discuss ideas and share experiences.
•Design East logo-
Use of the Design East logo
•Design East promotional opportunities-
Your work will feature in Design East promotional material and may be used in Design East press coverage.
•Professional Development-
All of the benefits detailed above have been designed to aid your professional development.
Membership Fee
Membership costs £40 per annum and runs from April to March.
If you join the network from October onwards a pro-rata rate of £20 is payable.
You will then re-new for £40 as normal in April.
